Watch My Dying to release Egyenes Kerőlő in January!

Watch My Dying has been a cornerstone of the Hungarian metal scene for 25 years, a hidden gem for international fans of extreme metal. Formed in 1999 in Hungary, the band quickly became a defining force in extreme tech/groove metal throughout the early 2000s.

Their discography features four full-length albums—Klausztrofónia (2004), Fényérzékelő (2006), Moebius (2009), and Egyenes Kerőlő (2024), which is set for its European and North American launch in early 2025. Additionally, they have released several EPs, singles, and contributed to compilation albums. Notably, one of their tracks was featured in the Oscar-nominated 2017 film Body and Soul.

Known for their philosophical and socio-critical Hungarian lyrics, WMD stands out in the extreme metal genre, with excerpts of their work inspiring novels and poetry in Hungary. Over the years, they’ve played all major Hungarian festivals, including Sziget, Rockmaraton, and Volt, sharing stages with international acts such as Opeth, Meshuggah, Cradle of Filth, Testament, and My Dying Bride.

After a quieter period following 2012—focused on EP releases, collaborations (notably with Thy Catafalque), and frontman Gábor Veres' side project Hiinar—the band re-emerged in 2023 with a renewed vigor. This resurgence brought Egyenes Kerőlő, two new music videos, a national tour, and a monumental 25th-anniversary concert at Budapest’s iconic A38 Ship, featuring special guest musicians.

With a rich legacy, electrifying live performances, and an unyielding creative drive, Watch My Dying continues to cement its place as a singular voice in both Hungarian and international metal scenes.
