Symphonic melodic death metal band ‘CANTU IGNIS’ to release new album 'THE FATHOMLESS DOMINION'

Symphonic melodic death metal band CANTU IGNIS is set to release its second full-length album ‘THE FATHOMLESS DOMINION.’ The album conceptually explores the themes of cosmic horror, existential dread, and the destructive hubris of humanity, with the narrative focusing on the rise and fall of civilizations.

CANTU IGNIS was formed by musician Jon Ryan, who plays guitar and synths, in addition to writing and arranging the instrumentation. He is joined by SPACECORPSE members Andrew Morris on drums and Reece Deeter on vocals. Both Benjamin Ellis (ex-SCAR SYMMETRY, ex-BLOODSHOT DAWN) and Andy Gillion (ex-MORS PRINCIPIUM EST) provide guest solos on two songs.

‘THE FATHOMLESS DOMINION’ incorporates synths in a natural way through the use of retro analog sounds in its arrangements. The result is an evolution of their melodic death sound; a true melding between these dynamic elements and the path to a direct, to-the-point style of death metal.
