Spere to release "Eight - led to the beam" (December 6 via Northern Silence Productions)!

SPERE is a new project by Niklas (HORN) and Tempestas (HALPHAS). Their debut album "Eight - led to the beam" tells the story of eight fictional characters, how they became obsolete and met their end.

Spere was founded in 2023 as a two-piece project by members of the German black metal bands Horn and Halphas. Designed to be performed with only guitar, vocals, and drums, the band focuses on energetic, rhythmic structures and groove, combined with eerie arpeggios. This approach creates a dynamic and atmospheric soundscape, made more robust by varied drum fills and layered guitar effects transported via both guitar and bass amps.

The debut album "Eight - led to the beam" revolves around the narrative of eight fictional characters who became obsolete and met their end. Each song explores the stories of these characters, figures of will, faith, energy, or even those with despicable natures, who overstayed their welcome in this world. The band embraces an archaic visual style, centered around bronze hues, oil lamps, candlelight, and metallic artifacts, reflecting the themes of the album.

Recorded and produced at Sculpt Sound Studios, the album was mixed and mastered by Torsten Baus, ensuring a powerful and polished sound.
