Scalpel formed in Massachusetts in 2008 and although there have been a few lineup changes around them, Manny and Taylor have always been here creating vicious sonic assaults through their playing. With the addition of Chip on drums in 2011 and Matt on bass in 2016, the band started working toward even faster and more intense songs than they had released in the past. With the release of 'Century in the Boilpit' we are pleased to say we have reached a new level of aural depravity in both our sound and lyrics.
