PATCHWORK Unveils First Single "The Vulture" from Upcoming Album Scars!

The Rockford-based metal band PATCHWORK has today released the first single, "The Vulture," from their highly anticipated upcoming album Scars. Available on all major streaming platforms, "The Vulture" sets the tone for what promises to be a deeply introspective and powerful album.

"The Vulture" is a track that combines intense guitar riffs with compelling lyrical narratives, embodying the band's signature blend of thrash and progressive metal. The song explores themes of loss and the relentless passage of time, illustrating the emotional and existential weight these topics carry.

"'The Vulture' is the most diverse song on the album from start to finish, beginning frantically and burning through the lyrics early, then slowing down abruptly to a calm acoustic interlude, before thundering back up to a powerful solo and an aggressive ending."

Recorded at TVR Studios in Rockford and produced by Dave Caruana, the track features the intricate guitar work PATCHWORK is known for, alongside the powerful vocals of Heith Gruner. "The Vulture" also showcases the first collaboration from the album, incorporating a solo that punctuates the song's heavy yet melodic approach.

The release of "The Vulture" comes ahead of the full album release of Scars, scheduled for May 15, 2025. PATCHWORK has crafted an album that delves into the scars we carry, using their music to explore the healing process and the marks left behind.
