Occult heavy metallers Saturday Night Satan have just released their own blistering take on the heavy metal classic "Am I Evil" by Diamond Head!

Jason Hesley

Taking this 1981 NWOBHM anthem and infusing it with their signature dark energy, Saturday Night Satan breathe new life into the track. With frontwoman Kate Soulthorn’s commanding vocals and their signature occult-laced heavy metal sound, this version is destined to become a fan favorite at live shows!

"This is the tale of a witch. A loving mother, torn from life, condemned to a cruel and senseless fate. A story of vengeance, written in fire and blood. Our reimagining of Diamond Head’s classic, proudly unleashed upon you. Let evil rise!" Says the band.

As with their debut album All Things Black, released in 2024, production and mixing were handled by John Tsiakopoulos in collaboration with the band at Nasty Frequency Recordings, while the mastering was done by Grammy-winning sound engineer Brian Lucey (Ghost, The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher, Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, etc.) at Magic Garden Mastering in the USA. The beautiful artwork for the release was designed by Bewild Brother.

Saturday Night Satan are scheduled to perform on Saturday, February 8, alongside Swedish prog proto metallers Hällas at Gazarte Ground Stage in Athens, while in April, they will tour the Balkans with American occult rock legends Coven, led by Jinx Dawson.
