My Kingdom Music is proud to announce the signing of Doomish Black Metal cult act NIHILI LOCUS! The legendary Italian formation will release their new album titled "Semper" on May 9th. It is what we can consider the band's first true full-length album, after the demos, EP and singles of the early 90s, a digital mini-album from 2010 and some compilations of the last decade. This is the album that will consecrate the band for years enshrouded in their cult status shadow and now finally ready to emerge in all its dark greatness.
"Semper" will be released in digipakCD, LP and tape and in the same date My Kingdom Music will release "Nihil Morte Certium", a Gatefold 2 LP with all their discography completely remastered including "Mors" never released in physical format.
Moreover a celebratory BOX titled "Ineffabilis Memoriae Regurgitatio" will be out. It will include all the already mentioned new and old stuff, plus exclusive merchandise and for the first time on vinyl the demo "Premature Exequie" released in 1991 by the band when its name was OMICIDIO, first NIHILI LOCUS' incarnation.
NIHILI LOCUS, a name Doom and Black Metal fans are no strangers to.
They came from Turin area and were born from the band OMICIDIO, formed in 1989, with Massimo Currò (bs), Mauro Veronese (gt), Bruno Blasi (v) and Roberto Ripollino (dr).
After the recordings of the demo "Premature Exequie" in 1991, the band change their name in NIHILI LOCUS and in 1992 Valeria De Benedictis (gt) joined the group who released quite soon the 7"EP "Sub Hyerosolima…" distributed by Obscure Plasma Records. In 1994 they released the concept tape "...Advesperascit..." which led them to have their first official contract with Boundless Recs, for the release of the MCD "...Ad Nihilum Recidunt Omnia" in 1996 recorded with keyboardist Simone Fanciotto.
In the years to come the group's activity was very unstable, until 2009 when they found themselves in an essential formation with the original members Massimo Currò (bs), Mauro Veronese (gt), and Roberto Ripollino (dr). With this line-up, it was recorded "Mors" only available for free download online. In the following years, Terror From Hell released a collection of all the recordings up to 1996 on CD.
The last years has served the band to concentrate on the conception, creation and recordings of the new album "Semper", the release that will finally allow the band to reap the fruits of a career always characterized by a melancholic pathos embodied in a dark sonorous extremism.
"Semper", along with the reissue and celebratory box, is scheduled for May 2025, all on My Kingdom Music.
