MELTED BODIES Release Deranged Sophomore Opus The Inevitable Fork!

Los Angeles' acclaimed avant-garde metal band MELTED BODIES has released their long-awaited, second studio album, The Inevitable Fork. Years of anticipation and lauded singles and EP releases have lead to this moment. With their follow up to 2020's Enjoy Yourself, the trailblazing five-piece have created an inimitable sound that defies traditional conventions, exploring a sound beyond the safe boundaries of contemporary music.

Over the course of 20 songs, The Inevitable Fork weaves a viscous web of musical styles from metal and industrial to post-hardcore and indie-folk. Colossal walls of heavy metal riffs, frantic unhinged vocals and industrial madness segue seamlessly into melodic soundscapes, acoustic balladry and haunting interludes that keep listeners on edge with tense anticipation.

With tracks like "The Hot Dog Contract," The Avalanche," "State of Mind," "Liars," "Therapy," "Bloodlines" and "Something Is Wrong," The Inevitable Fork is comprised of three separate EPs (Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and newly unveiled Vol. 3) sewn together with interludes featuring Angela Seo of Xiu Xiu for a genre-bending dystopian fever dream light years ahead of its time.

Commenting on the record, vocalist Andy Hamm (ex-Local Natives) says:

"We all have arrived at, or are approaching our own version of what I call 'The Inevitable Fork', and this overarching theme informs most of these songs in some way, much of which is very personal. Our bloodlines, mental health, past traumas, accomplishments, and regrets eventually lead us all to choose one of this fork’s many prongs to follow. Maybe we accept that it’s all imperfect, and we embrace our flaws to make anew or try again. Or perhaps we avoid, stall, numb, or overindulge. We’ve all been told “it’s now or never,” but yet we have heard that so many times. This stigma feeds our avoidance, unaccountability, and utter laziness. But rest assured ‘The Inevitable Fork’ is coming for us all whether we appreciate it or appall it.
