CHRISTIAN MISTRESS Signs With CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC: ‘More Heavy Metal Sass And Stories To Tell’

Cruz Del Sur Music is proud to announce the signing of cult Northwestern United States metallers CHRISTIAN MISTRESS. The label will issue the band’s long-awaited fourth studio album in early 2025.

Cruz Del Sur’s interest in CHRISTIAN MISTRESS dates back to 2015 when the band was touring Italy in support of the same year’s To Your Death studio effort. The feelings were mutual. However, a self-imposed break in 2016 was elongated by the global pandemic. A triumphant return to the stage at the 2023 installment of the “Hell’s Heroes” festival effectively reactivated CHRISTIAN MISTRESS

Originally formed in 2008, CHRISTIAN MISTRESS issued a self-titled demo in 2009 as well as the “Mother Of Mercy/The Hereafter” single the same year before joining 20 Buck Spin for the release of their 2010 Agony & Opium debut long-player. The band subsequently joined Relapse Records in time for the release of 2012’s Possession, which was followed by To Your Death in 2015.

The band is now a four-piece featuring vocalist Christine Davis, guitarist Tim Diedrich, drummer Reuben Storey and second guitarist/bassist Jonny Wulf. Being that their first three albums were produced in their native Olympia, Washington at the 4-track half-inch reel-to-reel High Command Studio with Captain Tripsballsington, it’s not a surprise CHRISTIAN MISTRESS has opted to record there again.

“It felt only natural to get back in that basement and burn up some more iron oxide with the Captain,” says Storey. “We are wrapping up album tracking in early October, as we write this.

“It is CHRISTIAN MISTRESS as we always have been: authentic, raw, ambitious and honest,” he continues. “A group of friends hashing it out in a room together with amps, Tascams, pens and paper. A live band living. The new album picks up right where we left off with To Your Death with more heavy metal sass and new stories to tell.”
