CARVING VOID was born during the global pandemic in mid-2020. We are a 4-piece

band based in Dresden/Leipzig, Germany, united by our shared passion for heavy music

and deeply rooted in the DIY alternative and political scene.

In 2022, we released our debut record A WORLD IN DECLINE —an aggressive metallic

hardcore album with moments that dive into death metal.

In 2024, we recorded our newest album, SUFFOCATE ALL LIFE. These songs are deeply

grounded in death metal, incorporating elements of black metal and hardcore throughout.

This record pushed our boundaries musically and lyrically, taking us to the next level.

Lyrically, it addresses various aspects of violence within our society: the rise of fascist

forces, the destruction of the environment and non-human life. Our songs explore the

complexities of mental health, the oppressive grip of religion, and the struggle against

state control and suppression.

The album was recorded between May and August 2024 at Heartware Studio Leipzig and HipGUn Studio Radeberg. The mixing and mastering for Suffocate all Life

were done by Lukas Haidinger.

The album will be released on Vinyl via SM Musik.
