Blackened rap metal duo GRADIENCE releases second single and video ‘Blindsided’ feat. Cabal’

GRADIENCE is a new Danish duo breaking down mental and musical barriers with its powerful fusion of trap-rap, black metal, metalcore and deathcore on the forthcoming debut EP 'Ironsight' set for a May 17th release. On the EP, the duo unfolds its stylistic abundance in a personal storytelling addressing the experience of being perceived as a stranger and the emotions and actions this schism can evoke.

Back in January, GRADIENCE released their debut single and video ‘This Abyss’ and today, the duo unleash their second single ‘Blindsided feat Cabal’. As the title proposes, the track features a guest vocal performance by Andreas Bjulver Paarup from deathcore comets Cabal and is accompanied music video created by the band’s own Jakob Harris, who states:

"We wanted to make a track that made the listener feel like his ears just got punched. Gavin suffers from iron deficiency anemia and the line "I'm leaking like '84, I'm Mike a nightmare" is a reference to Mike Tyson's victory in 1984 against Trevor Berbick, who described Mike as a nightmare. The whole song tries to encapsulate that feeling of being in a nightmarish hell. Having Andreas from Cabal on the track and the video really helped us nail the feel, he just has some of the most intense metal vocals from around here. Cabal are some of our greatest friends and they have been a big inspiration and help since the inception of Gradience. So we are really stoked about working with Andreas on this track."
