Primacy Arrival explodes through the walls of reality with opening track ‘The King I Am’, a bludgeoning horror that flails its way through a scarred, uncertain landscape, before dissipating into a horizon of unnerving colours and unsettling textures. From this point Primacy Arrival unfolds into an all encompassing world of bewildering nightmares. The title track skitters from a full blooded battle charge to a writhing, crawling swamp creature and individual notes sing out, igniting reactions in the chemistry of your body and brain. First single ‘Extraterrestrial Necrotic Urge’ drags you down into a sea of thick, coagulating liquid, drowning you in hallucinations, licking at your skin with a rough tongue of fear and hatred. Each track bends and warps the accepted fabric of reality, sucking your sense of self into a maelstrom of distorted sound and vision, culminating in the colossus of chaos that is ‘Exodus Into Oblivion’, where horror and splendour, beauty and revulsion entwine until they become indistinguishable. No two listens to Primacy Arrival are ever quite the same as it seems to exist as a living entity that reshapes itself anew each time you enter its blood-freezing fire of contradictions and domination.
