Alternative melodic metal band RISE OF ASURA, launch their second full-length album ‘DYSPHORIA.’ The album’s themes are inspired by the band’s own experiences through life. “DYSPHORIA,” is an introspective journey about bleak subjects such as pain and human suffering. These experiences, and how our lives are affected by primal anger, are vibrantly displayed through the band’s modern approach to melodic metal. The dynamic songs are a musical release of these important but hard to discuss emotions, reflecting the band's understanding of how important mental health is.
Guitarist/vocalist Benjin Zane formed the band from the ashes of a long break he took from rock and metal. During his absence from the scene, he explored ambient and pop genres, both of which RISE OF ASURA blend into their more metallic influences, everything from IRON MAIDEN to DREAM THEATER.
The recording of ‘DYSPHORIA’ was handled in house by the band members themselves, creating a warm sound that offers intense moments among a diverse and dynamic collection of songs.
